About this scholarship
The Edmonton Music and Speech Arts Festival, formerly the Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival, awards dozens of named scholarships from $25 to $750 each spring in piano, voice, strings, speech arts and other disciplines, mostly within age brackets such as 13 to 15 or 13 to 18.
Worth knowing
There is no separate application: you enter festival classes, and scholarships go to the highest marks across a group of similar classes, at the adjudicator's decision. The 2026 festival's entry deadline was February 5; the 2027 date here is last year's rolled forward, so check the festival's site in January. Register in both the provincial syllabus and the local addenda.
