Worth knowing
Open to Alberta residents with a documented disability starting or continuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited school. Priority goes to students from rural or underserved parts of Alberta and to first-year students, and the committee also weighs community work supporting people with disabilities. The money can cover school costs plus disability expenses such as equipment, transportation or personal support. Send the online form, two references, a one-page personal letter, a certified transcript and proof of disability to Scholarships@easterseals.ab.ca by June 30 at midnight.
About this scholarship
Easter Seals Alberta gives $5,000 a year to Alberta students with a disability, as two $2,500 awards or one $5,000 award, with priority for rural students in their first year.
