CWO Peter Stauffer Memorial Scholarship

Three awards of $2,500 from The Medley CFB Society for graduating students who are dependents of personnel currently serving at 4 Wing Cold Lake in the Canadian Armed Forces, regular or reserve, or working there as DND or NPF employees. Created in 2005 at $1,000 and since raised. The criteria go out of their way to say that consistent academic standing does not mean the honour roll: Peter Stauffer never insisted that people be the best, only that they do their best. You submit a 500-word essay on quality of life, leadership or community spirit, two references from outside your family, proof of acceptance and your grade 12 marks.
