ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Two $1,000 scholarships from CUPE Local 1099, open to any student graduating from a St. Albert public high school. The application is proof of enrolment in any post-secondary program plus an original essay of at least 750 words answering one question: how has the history of unionized workers helped shape Canada. There is no average requirement and no field restriction, so the essay is the whole competition.
July 30 is the date CUPE gives, well after the April cluster at the school, so this one is still live over the summer when most of the others have closed.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before July 30, 2027.
