County of Northern Lights Student Bursary

The County of Northern Lights, around Manning, gives two $2,500 bursaries a year to residents of any age heading into post-secondary studies or technical or apprenticeship training. Winners are chosen on financial need and references.

Recipients can get up to $2,500 more through the provincial Northern Alberta Development partnership if they sign the return-of-service agreement on page 5 of the form, which means living and working in the northern program area for at least ten months after graduating. That matching money needs you to be 18 or older and not in an apprenticeship. The form is due July 15 each year.
