Worth knowing
Memorial Composite does not asterisk this one, which in its award list means there is no separate application to file. The school selects from the students in front of it. Making sure the department knows you want it is the step you can take. Memorial Composite's award table lists the prize for this one as a gift rather than a dollar figure, so treat it as recognition, not money toward tuition.
About this scholarship
Awarded each year by the Constituency of Spruce Grove-Stony Plain to the graduating student who best demonstrates a commitment to social activism. The criteria ask for something ongoing, action oriented, showing leadership, and resulting in greater awareness of a social issue within the school or the community. A single event will not read well here, but a campaign you kept going will.
