Worth knowing

You need at least two high school years at Altario or Consort. Degree students are not the target here, but shorter credentials and the trades are. An applicant’s parent must currently live in the Altario or Consort district unless the committee accepts extenuating circumstances. Applicants must be in the first year of a Canadian one-year certificate, two-year diploma or apprenticeship and submit their first-year or training-period marks.

A Lions Club award of $500 for a student entering a one-year certificate, two-year diploma or apprenticeship in Canada, with preference for technical and apprenticeship study.
