Calgary Black Chambers TransAlta STEM Scholarship

A single $7,000 award, paid straight to tuition, for a Black Canadian citizen or permanent resident in second year or beyond of a full-time STEM degree or diploma at a Calgary post-secondary institution. It asks for a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or 70 per cent, school or community involvement that is preferably STEM focused, and one reference letter.

The list of qualifying fields is unusually long and worth checking against your own program before assuming you are out: biology, chemistry, computer science, data science, engineering, environmental sciences, geology, information systems, mathematics, microbiology, natural sciences, physics, statistics, technology and zoology all count.
