Brooks Rotary Club Award
The Brooks Rotary Club gives this one on exemplary service to the community and/or the school. It goes annually to a graduate of any high school in the County of Newell who is planning to attend a post-secondary institution, so it reaches past Brooks Composite to the county's other schools. Service is the whole criterion here, not marks, which makes it one of the better fits for a student whose transcript is ordinary and whose volunteer record is not.
The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. It is open past Brooks Composite itself, so if you graduate from another high school in the area, ask your own office how it collects the application; the BCHS handbook is where the criteria are written down.
