ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

One award of $500 for a Samson Cree Nation band member at Wetaskiwin Composite who best shows enthusiasm for tasks both assigned and extracurricular, encourages others, is congenial and sets the tone for a positive atmosphere.

Band membership is the only hard gate and there is no academic bar at all. The rest of the criteria describe a temperament rather than an achievement, so ask a teacher who has seen you with other students to back you up. One Google Form covers every in-house award at Wetaskiwin Composite. You tick the awards you want to be considered for, write one paragraph on why, and that paragraph is judged against all of them at once. The 2026 form closed June 6 and winners were told by email or text in September, so watch the school's post-secondary page for the next one in the spring.
