ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Four prizes of $500 for essays written as part of your course work in History 20 or 30, Native Studies 20 or 30, or Law 30, judged anonymously by an outside adjudicator. Because the essay is submitted for course credit anyway, this is one of the few awards in the corpus where the work is already required of you. One essay per student per year, and last year's first-place winner cannot enter again.
One form covers every LPSD award. You complete the General LPSD Scholarship Application in the Google Classroom, code an2eroz, by May 1, and tick this award on the LCHS organizer sheet rather than applying to the sponsor.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before May 1, 2027.
