Worth knowing

After applying for admission, open Awards and Financial Aid in the Waterloo applicant portal and complete the Entrance Awards for Black Students or Entrance Awards for Indigenous Students form, as applicable. The estimated deadline is April 15, 2027. Computing and Financial Management is eligible; Software Engineering is excluded. Applicants applying as Indigenous must complete identity verification through Waterloo. The 2027 date is not published yet; this is last year's date moved forward one year.

This scholarship provides up to $6,000 for Black or Indigenous students entering Computer Science at Waterloo. Selection considers academics and community involvement, with preference for applicants working to advance Black or Indigenous initiatives in their community.
