Worth knowing

Hand the application form, your acceptance letter, an essay and two reference letters to your school counsellor by June 15. By September 30 the full package and proof of registration go to the president of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 39. One award goes to a first-year student and one can go to a second or third year student in an accredited Alberta program, who sends last year's marks instead of an acceptance letter. Graduates of Two Hills School or Delnorte Innisfree School qualify only if a family member is a veteran and a Branch 39 member. Awards are presented on November 11 and you can only win once.
