Worth knowing

Submit a UBC admission application and the separate 2027 UBC Entrance Awards application through the online awards portal by December 1, 2026. The awards application opens October 5, 2026 and includes a Description of Circumstance, a parent or guardian financial form and a reference. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, meet admission requirements and be entering their first undergraduate degree.

About this scholarship

This award provides up to $80,000 in one-time or renewable funding for Black students with financial need entering UBC. Assessment considers financial circumstances and the personal statement about challenges, interests and contributions to school, family or community.
