Worth knowing
Applications open in fall 2026 through AFOA Canada, for funding that starts in September 2027, so this round is the one for current Grade 12 students. You must be a member or citizen of a First Nation, Métis or Inuit community, a citizen or permanent resident, and have applied to a full-time program of at least two years. Winners must complete a paid four-month term at TD each year. AFOA answers questions at td-scholarships@afoa.ca. Applications for September 2027 study close on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Applications open on October 1, 2026 at noon Eastern Time. TD employees and their children cannot apply, another bank award of at least $20,000 requires permission, and paid internship and background-check conditions apply.
About this scholarship
TD and AFOA Canada give 25 Indigenous students a year up to $60,000 over four years, up to $10,000 a year toward tuition plus $5,000 a year for living costs.
