Worth knowing

Apply for admission, then submit the Major Admission Awards application in SOLUS by December 8, 2026. Queen's recommends applying for admission by November 20 to allow time to receive SOLUS access. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons. Queen's lists 90% as a guide to high school achievement. Renewal requires a 3.5 GPA with a full course load. A high school nomination for the Queen's Chancellor's Scholarship is required. Continued leadership and extracurricular involvement are also required for renewal.

About this scholarship

This scholarship pays $12,000 a year for up to four years for students entering Smith Engineering at Queen's University. Selection considers academic achievement, creative thinking, leadership and involvement in school or community activities.
