Worth knowing

Apply online at apply.soroptimist.org between August 1 and November 15. Your local club judges first, and club winners usually hear between January and April before moving on to the region and then the international round. You cannot apply if you already hold a graduate degree, have won before, or are a Soroptimist member, employee or relative of one.

About this scholarship

Soroptimist International gives cash awards to women who head their households and need money for vocational training or a first undergraduate degree. Club awards are usually about $1,000, region awards $3,000 or $5,000, and international awards $10,000.
