Worth knowing

You must live in Red Deer or south of it, be single, support only yourself and not live at home with your parents. University, college, skills training, high school completion and English upgrading all count. Applications open August 1 and close January 20. Winners are told by early March.

About this scholarship

Soroptimist International of Calgary gives a $1,000 award to a single woman in southern Alberta who supports herself while continuing her education.
