Worth knowing

AMBA moved its site to TeamLinkt and the scholarships page went with it: the old link 404s and the word scholarship does not appear anywhere on the new site as of September 2026. The award may well still run, but nothing is published, so ask the association directly before counting on it. The last window AMBA advertised was January 8 to February 26, and essays were stripped of names before the committee read them. A past AMBA scholarship winner cannot win again.

About this scholarship

One $500 award from Airdrie Minor Basketball for a current or former AMBA player who is enrolled full time in a post-secondary program. It is named for Sean Smith and marks sportsmanship and team spirit rather than scoring. The application is a short essay, and proof of enrolment is required before the money is paid out.
