ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

The Kalix Legacy Foundation gives one $500 scholarship to a Grade 12 athlete at each of Airdrie's three public high schools, in memory of Kalix Langenau. It looks for sportsmanship, teamwork and strong character.

This works by nomination: a classmate, teacher, coach or staff member emails the foundation along with a reference letter from a coach or school staff member. You need an acceptance to a post-secondary program. The 2026 round closed May 16, 2026 and no 2027 date is posted yet, so ask your coach about it in the spring.
