Rural Municipalities of Alberta Post-Secondary Scholarship

A $1,000 award for a resident of an RMA member municipality in the first four years of study, with no previous degree or diploma, pursuing a course of study relevant to local government or rural communities. The criteria say plainly that this is not meant to restrict eligibility and invite you to explain the relevance of your own program in the letter of application, which is a much wider door than the wording first suggests.

Your municipality has to be a member in good standing of the RMA, which covers municipal districts, counties, specialized municipalities and the Special Areas, so a city address does not qualify.
