Worth knowing
Your municipality has to be a member in good standing of the RMA, which covers municipal districts, counties, specialized municipalities and the Special Areas, so a town or city address does not qualify even when a member county surrounds it. Preference goes to applicants studying in Alberta unless the programme is not offered here. The cutoff is the same late-August date each year and the one shown is next year's.
About this scholarship
Six scholarships of $1,500 a year from the Rural Municipalities of Alberta, running since 1995, for a resident of an RMA member municipality in the first four years of study with no previous degree or diploma, taking a programme relevant to local government or rural communities.
