Worth knowing
The fund's home is the P.E.O. Alberta-Saskatchewan page; peointernational.org does not name it. The award was $1,000 from 1997 and rose to $2,000 in 2025. Entering first year counts, so a Grade 12 graduate can apply, but you need a sponsor: a local P.E.O. chapter must submit a recommendation by August 15, and the foundation says to start one or two months earlier because the chapter has its own paperwork. You also need two years of Alberta or Saskatchewan residency, a letter of reference and an official transcript. The foundation is a separate entity from P.E.O. despite the name. Contact the nearest chapter through peoab-sk.ca well before the August cutoff.
