Royal Canadian Legion Branch Bursary (Wetaskiwin)

A needs-based Legion bursary for students whose parent, grandparent or great-grandparent served or is serving in the Armed Forces of Canada or the British Commonwealth forces. It is meant to bridge the gap between what a student needs and what family, work and government assistance provide.

Two things narrow it. Postgraduate study is not admissible for branch bursaries, and the award is needs-based rather than competitive on marks; the standard is only that you are likely to succeed. A student who finished high school and took a break still qualifies.
