Rotary Club of Lethbridge East Agricultural Scholarship
At least three scholarships of $10,000 each from the Rotary Club of Lethbridge East and Exhibition Park, for undergraduate or graduate students in agriculture or a related field who have already completed the equivalent of two full years, or 60 credit hours, of post-secondary study.
This is not a grade 12 award, which is the trap: you need two years of post-secondary behind you before you can apply, so a graduating student has to wait. Southern Alberta residency means the counties of Lethbridge, Taber, Warner, Forty Mile, Cardston, Pincher Creek, Ranchlands, Willow Creek, Cypress, Newell and Vulcan and the municipalities inside them, plus Crowsnest Pass and the Blood (Kanai) and Piikani First Nations, or seven of the last ten years lived there. Rotarians and their immediate families are excluded. You submit a letter of intent first and the committee sends back the form with personalised feedback, which is unusual and worth using.
