Rick Blight Leadership in Action Scholarship for Athletes

Three scholarships from Men's Health Foundation in memory of Rick Blight, for Canadian student athletes who show leadership in their sport and look after their own mental wellbeing or their team's. Two awards of $2,000 and one of $1,000.

Closes at 11:59 p.m. on September 15, 2026. You send in the questionnaire from the downloadable PDF, a high school or college transcript, a signed reference letter from a teacher or community leader, and a three to five minute video or audio recording about your involvement in sport and your volunteering. Everything goes to the foundation by email. The award has given out more than $55,000 since 2012, and current high school students qualify.
