Worth knowing

This listing previously showed as a Grade 12 award. The Calgary Foundation page is explicit that applicants must be entering their final year of study, so it is filed here as a post-secondary award. It is worth knowing about in Grade 12 anyway, because you can come back to it. The provider had not posted a date for the new cycle when this was checked in August 2026, so this is last cycle's deadline rolled forward. Confirm before you plan around it.

About this scholarship

One award of about $2,500 with smaller awards possible, from the Optimist Club of Calgary. It is not an entrance award: you must already be enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution and entering the final year of your first certificate, degree or diploma. Preference goes to students from the Calgary area.
