Worth knowing

Residents of the MD and the villages of Irma, Edgerton and Chauvin can apply, but Town of Wainwright residents cannot. Students in agriculture or environmental programs should apply for the MD's separate ASB bursary instead. The fillable form is on the MD page and no deadline is posted, so email asbprograms@mdwainwright.ca or call 780-842-4454 to confirm the date. Applicants must live in the Municipal District of Wainwright, and residents of Irma, Edgerton, Chauvin and the Town of Wainwright do not qualify. Applicants may receive only one Municipal District bursary during their academic career and submit one application per year. Children of council members or staff do not qualify. Agriculture and environment applicants are directed to the ASB bursary.

The Municipal District of Wainwright gives $1,000 education bursaries to residents accepted to or attending any program at an accredited college, university or trade school.
