Worth knowing

After applying for admission, complete the separate major entrance scholarship application in McGill's Undergraduate Admissions Applicant Portal. The estimated deadline for Alberta applicants is February 7, 2027. The $12,000 annual awards are restricted to Canadian citizens and permanent residents; the lower award levels also accept international applicants. Renewal depends on meeting the award conditions. The 2027 date is not published yet; this is last year's date moved forward one year.

About this scholarship

These scholarships pay $3,000, $5,000, $10,000 or $12,000 a year and may be renewed for three or four years, depending on the award. They are for first-time university students, with academic achievement considered first and leadership in school or community activities also assessed.
