Lynn McFarlane Scholarship
Named for Lynn McFarlane, born in Cold Lake in 1966 and diagnosed with Down syndrome at birth, who was one of the first students with a developmental disability to graduate from Cold Lake High School and who then worked at the same Cold Lake pharmacy for thirty years. The scholarship began when she retired in 2018. Two separate routes qualify: being accepted into a disability studies program, or being a student with a disability accepted into any post-secondary program. The application is a single 500 to 1,000 word response covering who you are, what you want to study and why.
Applications go by email to Bob Mattice and Audrey McFarlane rather than through the school, and no value is published.
