ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Fort Saskatchewan Lions Club run this in memory of Lion Don Westman, and their published recipient lists show it going to students from Fort Saskatchewan High School and St. André Bessette Catholic High School in alternating pairs each year. The application is a downloadable form sent to the club, not something the school collects, so it is easy to miss entirely if you are relying on the school awards package.
Applications close September 15, a bare repeating date rather than one tied to a year, and they go to the Lions club directly by email or post rather than through a school. That places it after graduation, when most students have stopped looking.
