Worth knowing
Applications go to the BCHS main office by May 1, not to the sponsor. One thing to read carefully: the handbook blurb says the student should already have achieved another system-wide award, but the application form itself sets no such condition, so apply and let the committee decide. The form also asks for a social insurance number.
About this scholarship
Funded by the district's retired teachers for a graduating student from a Grasslands Regional Division high school, meaning Bassano, Brooks, Duchess, Rosemary or Sunrise, who is registered at a post-secondary institution and can attach proof of acceptance. Selection weighs community service and extracurricular involvement, diverse interests and talents, three letters of reference and academic achievement.
