Filipino-Canadian National Scholarship Program

A national program of scholarships for Filipino-Canadian students, each worth at least $1,000, with categories covering academics, creative arts and volunteer work.

Run with the Golden Balangay Foundation and open across Canada. Each scholarship carries a minimum award of $1,000 and typically names at least one recipient per category per year, so the categories matter more than the headline count. You may apply to up to two categories per cycle. You need Filipino heritage plus Canadian citizenship or permanent residence, at least a B average, demonstrated financial need, and you must be attending a Canadian post-secondary institution. The 2026 round closed January 15, 2026 with winners announced February 20, 2026, which puts this on a much earlier calendar than most awards here: a January deadline means starting in the fall of Grade 12.
