Worth knowing

You apply after a year of university, not out of high school. You need Canadian citizenship or permanent residency by the stated cutoff. The 2026 round closed in May. Canadian citizenship or permanent residence must be held by June 4 of the award year. Applicants must be nominated by a Canadian institution and enter full-time second year of their first bachelor’s degree with no prior post-secondary study other than the first year of that degree.
