Elwyn Probert Mathematics Scholarship
The largest school award in Edmonton, funded by an alumnus in honour of Elwyn Probert, a mathematics teacher who went on to become principal at Eastglen. It goes to the top mathematics student, judged on first-attempt marks in Math 30-1 and Math 31, who enrols in mathematics, engineering or science with a mathematics major.
Financial need is explicitly not a factor. Marks from a repeated course do not count, and if two students tie the school looks back at the original summative assessments before any rewrites. The school directory quotes the figure as a single sum, while alumni describe it as covering four years of tuition, so confirm how it is paid before budgeting on it.
