Elsie Alexander Essay Scholarship
An essay scholarship of $1,000 offered by the Lethbridge and District Pro-Life Association to a Grade 12 student. It is one of four awards the association gives each year, two for high school students and two for post-secondary students. Applicants are judged on having shown leadership in encouraging respect for all human life, and this is the award decided on a written submission rather than on service.
The 2026 cycle has closed and the association had not posted a 2027 date when this was checked in August 2026, so there is no deadline here to plan against. They run a newsletter that announces when applications reopen. The association draws its area wide: north to Nanton and Vulcan, east to the Saskatchewan border, south to the United States border, and west to the British Columbia border.
