Worth knowing
Written for graduating high school students. You must be in your final year at a Canadian secondary school or CEGEP, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, hold a valid SIN, and have been under the care of a Canadian pediatric diabetes team or physician for type 1 diabetes for at least a year before applying. Judged on both merit and need, weighing how you balance diabetes management against school, community involvement and your own health. The Foundation aims for a minimum of 35 awards a year, funding permitting. The round opens in January and closes March 1, early in the Grade 12 calendar. Applications run only through the portal at dhfscholarship.smapply.io.
