Worth knowing

Polytechnique Montréal reported in August 2025 that the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation wound down its activities and entrusted its mission to Polytechnique. No provider confirmation of a John Evans entrance award for 2027 was found. The successor scholarship is for second- or third-year engineering students and is not a Grade 12 replacement. The Calgary registrar page still describes the historical entrance award.

About this scholarship

A $5,000 entrance award from the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation for a young woman entering an accredited Canadian engineering program from high school. It also carries a potential paid summer engineering work placement with Fortis at one of their Canadian utilities after second or third year.
