CEMF John Evans Engineering Entrance Award

NATIONAL
WHO CAN APPLY
Women entering an accredited Canadian engineering program directly from high school

A $5,000 entrance award from the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation for a young woman entering an accredited Canadian engineering program from high school. It also carries a potential paid summer engineering work placement with Fortis at one of their Canadian utilities after second or third year.

The foundation states plainly that this award is not based on academic achievement, which makes it unusual among engineering entrance awards and worth applying for on a mid-range average. You must self-identify as a woman and hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
