Worth knowing
Two separate streams with two separate forms, the CFFF / Doug Lock Memorial Scholarship, and one-time bursaries of up to $5,000. You may apply for a scholarship OR a bursary, not both, so read the CFFFEP policy before choosing. Open to children and to the spouse or common-law partner of a firefighter whose line-of-duty death is recognized by the Foundation. Check that first. The current policy accepts applications at any time of year. Forms download from cfff.ca. The scholarship requires financial need, and the bursary considers financial need in selection. The scholarship requires a 60% average in the last secondary-school year, and continuing and renewing applicants need a B average.
