Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation Education Program
Scholarships and bursaries from the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation for the children and spouses of firefighters whose line-of-duty deaths the Foundation recognizes.
Two separate streams with two separate forms: the CFFF / Doug Lock Memorial Scholarship, and bursaries capped at $3,000 with a maximum of six awarded a year, including one funded by the Council of Canadian Fire Marshals and Fire Commissioners. You may apply for a scholarship OR a bursary, not both, so read the CFFFEP policy before choosing. Open to children and to the spouse or common-law partner of a firefighter whose line-of-duty death is recognized by the Foundation, which is the gate to check first. The written policy sets the window as March 1 to July 31 for the academic year starting that September, but the Foundation reserves the right to modify it, and its own page said applications were being accepted as of 2026-09-08, so go by the page rather than the policy dates. Forms download from cfff.ca. Verified against cfff.ca on 2026-09-08.
