Banff Community High School graduating students

About this scholarship

Banff Community High School presents about twenty donor awards to its graduates, including the Town of Banff Award for citizenship, the IODE's Tillie Knight Scholarship and Shirley Peatfield Bursary for students heading into family studies, social work or education, the Banff Legion scholarships for the top marks in English 30 and Social Studies 30, the Soroptimist and SI Banff awards for students who have overcome adversity, the Rotary Club of Banff Bursary, the Mineral Springs Hospital Medical Staff Award, and the PAUW! Caribou Awards at $1,000 each.

Worth knowing

Most of these are chosen by the school and donors rather than applied for, and awards based only on final marks are given in mid-July, once blended Grade 12 marks are out. Several, including the IODE awards, are paid on proof of post-secondary registration.
