ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
A $1,000 Rotary award for an Austin O'Brien student who has overcome a personal obstacle during high school while continuing to do well. The obstacle and the response to it are the substance of the application.
This rewards the shape of the story rather than the height of the marks, so a transcript with a difficult year in it is not a disadvantage here. It is the largest single award Austin O'Brien publishes.
