The program has to be in Alberta, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut, and you do not need to be an APPI member. The institute issues its call for submissions early each year. The 2026 round closed February 26 at noon. The 2027 date shown here assumes about the same time next year and is not confirmed yet.

About this scholarship

The Alberta Professional Planners Institute gives $2,000 scholarships to students entering or studying in an urban, rural or environmental planning program, from a diploma up to a PhD.
