Worth knowing
This is the award for Peace-country students from outside the city, and commuting counts as well as moving. Note the specific mark rule, English 30 plus four other 30-level courses, not an overall average. Northwestern Polytechnic's standard award criteria require two full semesters already completed at NWP, which shuts most of its 359 awards to a student coming straight out of grade 12. Entrance awards are the exception and this is one of them. Applications sit in your NWP account document library once you are admitted. Unless the award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, though international students may apply in their second full-time year at NWP. Applicants must have an Alberta hometown at least 100 km from Grande Prairie and relocate or commute to attend NWP.
