Airdrie Legion Branch 288 Poppy Fund Bursary

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 288 distributes bursaries to local students out of the money raised in its annual Poppy Campaign. The branch handed out roughly $30,000 in a single year, spread across a group of recipients rather than concentrated in one award.

This is separate from the branch's University of Calgary scholarship, which is a different award with its own route. The branch publishes no criteria, no form and no closing date on its website, and it asks that applications come in around March so the money is ready for the fall term. Legion poppy bursaries are normally open at any stage of a college or university programme, not just to graduating students, so ask the branch directly.
