Women in Technical and Applied Arts Scholarship

A provincial scholarship for women entering the technical crafts behind Alberta’s film, music and video game industries, where they remain underrepresented.

Twenty awards, and the target is narrow and worth naming: the technical side of the cultural industries, such as audio production, film production and game design, rather than performance or fine art. The province publishes a list of qualifying programs. Like the other two, it opens in mid-September and excludes anyone still in high school.
