Worth knowing

One online application covers them all, with a one-page cover letter, a list of your volunteer and leadership hours, two reference letters and your latest transcript. The 2026 deadline was March 10 and has passed, so March 10, 2027 is last year's date moved forward one year. Most awards need a B average. The Chancellor's Scholarship ($10,000 a year, up to $40,000) and the Community Endowment ($5,000 a year, up to $20,000) need an A average and Canadian citizenship or permanent residence. Others open to any applicant include the President's Entrance Scholarship ($4,000 a year, up to $16,000), the Gladys and Harvey Kipp award ($4,000 a year) and the George A. Ferguson award ($5,000, business or agriculture preferred). Some awards are only for Fraser Valley high schools.
