How the EducationMatters application works

One EducationMatters application covers every CBE and Calgary Catholic award. It opens March 1, and most awards close May 30, a few May 1. Every one has three rules: you must be 20 or younger on September 1, not yet in post-secondary, and applying in your Grade 12 year. Once you leave high school you can no longer apply, so a gap year is fine only if you applied before you graduated.

116 awards listed here go through it.

About this scholarship

This award recognizes and encourages students to continue their personal leadership development and interest in outdoor education. Applicants are required to provide an essay of approximately 500 words that reflects on their personal leadership qualities and experiences and how pursuing their chosen educational path will enable them to "give back" to their community. Recipients must enter post-secondary study in Canada lasting at least two years.

Email me when it opens

We send one link to confirm, then an email when it opens and reminders before the deadline if one is posted.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
