Worth knowing

Send the division's application form by September 30 of the year you graduate to the Deputy Superintendent, Education Services in Morinville, or email it with Scholarship in the subject line. You must have attended a division school that year, meet the Grade 12 honours standard of the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship and qualify for a high school diploma. You have 15 months after graduation to enrol full time at a post-secondary school or in an apprenticeship. The cheque is released once you send confirmation of enrolment after September 15 for fall or January 15 for winter.

About this scholarship

Sturgeon Public Schools pays $1,000 to every Grade 12 graduate of the division who meets the Rutherford Grade 12 honours standard and goes on to post-secondary or an apprenticeship.
