ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

A bursary of between $500 and $5,000 from the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation for students in licensed practical nursing, nursing, psychiatric nursing, nurse practitioner, master of nursing or nursing doctorate programs. The committee looks for commitment, dedication and growth potential. The application asks for a cover letter, resume, two letters of reference, a course outline and transcripts.

The range is wide because the committee sizes the award to the applicant, so a strong file is worth applying with even if you only need part of it. Every nursing credential is eligible, from licensed practical nursing through to a doctorate, which makes this unusually open compared to most nursing awards. Applications go by email to the hospital foundation. This is last cycle's May deadline rolled forward a year.
