Worth knowing

There is no application. Business education teachers select the winner. The threshold is the lowest in the handbook, and the criteria ask for average standing, not excellence. Holding down a job while in school is the distinguishing requirement, which most award pages treat as a distraction. Unless an award states otherwise, applicants must be Canadian citizens and have lived in Alberta for at least one year.

About this scholarship

Sobeys pays $500 to a student in the Business Education Program with average standing in Information Processing or Computer Programming, work experience in a commercial enterprise while attending school, regular attendance, good work habits and a grade 12 average of at least 60 per cent.

What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
