Shirley Brauer Award for Women in Science
For a graduating female student who has shown courage, ingenuity, determination, compassion and the synthesis of ideas in her scientific studies. The criteria are written about how you think rather than what you scored, which is deliberate: the award is about the qualities that make a scientist rather than the ones that make a high transcript.
Paul Kane collects this one and its handout gives April 10 as the date, with no year attached, so it is an annual cutoff rather than a one-off. The handout also says every detail in it is subject to change, so confirm the date with Student Services before you plan around it.
